Dr. Eric Wise was introduced to chiropractic care as a young adult after experiencing several sports related injuries, but it was not until later in life that he began a career in chiropractic.
Dr. Wise began his professional career in 1990 with a B.A. in psychology and a certificate in secondary education from Waynesburg College. He spent over 10 years in the field of Human Services as an educator, intervention specialist, and program director for gang and drug prevention. During that time, Dr. Wise began graduate studies in exercise physiology. In 1998, Dr. Wise became a nationally licensed massage therapist. He spent the following two years working as a clinical massage therapist in conjunction with a physical therapist colleague.
In 2000, Dr. Wise heeded his life’s calling at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While studying at Palmer, he served as a Teaching Assistant in both the Diagnostic and Neurology Departments and completed an internship in the Sports Rehabilitation Department, and was nominated and received a Clinical Teaching Assistant with the Palmer Clinics System. This is a position nominated by Palmer clinical faculty, which speaks highly of Dr. Wise’s clinical chiropractic skills. As part of the Palmer Clinic Abroad Program, Dr. Wise traveled throughout Morocco where he and a team of fellow chiropractors provided a full range of chiropractic care to the local population.
Since receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and professional license, Dr. Wise has completed extended coursework in supplemental treatment and adjustment techniques. For the past three years he has been working as a chiropractor in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He currently lives in El Cajon CA with his wife Karie, a licensed acupuncturist who practices in the office with him.
Health is a dynamic force that emanates within, and flows throughout the body continuously. Interference from both external and internal sources pinch off, or interrupt this natural flow, this leads to dis-ease, dysfunction and degeneration of the organism. It is the goal of Jamacha Chase Chiropractic to not only identify and remove these interferences but, to educate patients empowering them to make healthy life changes. Dr. Wise works with this inner intelligence, identifying and removing these interferences from your nervous system allowing the innate healing potential to flow and work at an optimum level.
